Pastelaria e Gelados Alpino in Beira serves as a relaxed spot for locals and visitors looking to settle in with a good cup of coffee and simple, tasty breakfast or snack options. This café is especially appreciated for its cappuccino, which pairs well with a variety of Portuguese-style pastries and freshly baked natas that reflect the city's diverse culinary influences.

The atmosphere here brings together a casual vibe that can get lively inside, especially during peak times, but outdoor seating offers a more laid-back experience—perfect for those wanting to enjoy Mozambique’s coastal air while they eat or chat. You’ll often find the place frequented by morning crowd seekers looking for a solid breakfast, as well as people dropping by for a sweet treat like the standout cassava cake, praised despite some waiters’ slower pace.

Given its somewhat tucked-away location, it's not the easiest spot to spot right off the street, but regulars rely on digital maps to navigate in. The scene is typical of Beira’s edge neighborhood: informal, bustling yet with moments of calm on the terrace. If you’re around in the morning or late afternoon, it’s an ideal time to grab a coffee and a light bite, especially if you’re after a quick break from the city buzz.

This spot suits those who appreciate familiar flavors and a straightforward café experience, whether stopping in for a quick pick-me-up or lingering a bit longer outside. It’s an example of Beira’s daily life rhythms, where community and food meet comfortably under shade or inside when the day gets noisier.

Fast and has great cakes. Inside can get noisy but outdoor tables are great.

Awesome place... they have a casava cake that is to die for... the waiters are a bit slow but the quality of the food compensate for it

This place is by far in my top 3 spots for having a yummy breakfast in Beira. You can never go wrong with their freshly baked natas, sandwiches and their many different Portuguese pastries which are readily available! Its a little hidden so its not too wasy to spot but Google maps does the trick. Do make it a point to stop by next time you're in the beautiful "Edge" city of Beira.
